So I'm bored at work....thus the unexpected post.
Made it out to the Rose last night. With the temps being "normal" it felt great.
I've been spending too much time on my road bike.
I almost hurt myself last night and it could have been bad.
I was coming off of a roller thats good for some air if your feeling fast.
I came off of it at an angle and got about 3' of air, and I'm heading for a tree.
What do you do?
How do you change your trajectory in mid air?
Flap you arms like a bird?
Luckily I missed the tree, just barely though and end up off the trail in the overgrowth.
Down I went.
No serious damage. A bloody knee and filth all over.
Evan with the crash and walking over some new fallen tress my lap came in at 46 min plus.
For not evan trying hard, I was impressed with my time.
Did a 2nd lap with the interior loop, had fun so mission completed.
The cheap ass MP3 player is still kicking along fine. This was the 6th or 7th ride, so far it seems that was $12 well spent. I'm curious as to what the battery life on it is. Debating on weather it'll last long enough for the SM100. I've gotten about 3 hours on it before I recharged it but have yet to run it down. I'm thinking for the 100 I'd use it about 4 or 5 hours max. Just on the pavement and fireroad ascents.
ok, work just got busy.
Damn whats wrong with these people, can't I just blog all day.
