Day 10 Post op-3rd pt appt.

Show up at PT. at 9:00 . First thing I hear from the therapist is "You got us in trouble with the doctor, didn't ya". So the doc had called him and bitched. I don't know why. I didn't blame my one crutch use on the therapist. Last thing I wanna do is get on the therapist bad side.
Nothing new. I'm on hold until the doc OK's me for weight bearing and lets me use the permanent brace. Thats on Wed I hope.
They threw me straight on the stat. bike. Took me 7 or 8 minutes just to work up to a complete rotation. Rest of it was pretty much a copy of the first 2 days.

Got outta there and went to work. I'm still not getting much done but I'm there to answer questions that come up and to coordinate jobs.
Left work around 4:00. I don't know if the drugs are still in my system or if the healing process just take more outta ya but I took an 1-1/2 nap when I got home. I look forward to being able to help around the house again. The wife got home with the kids and had went to the grocery store. I had to just sit there and watch her carry everything in. Its stupid stuff like that , that gets to me. Before, the grocery carting was my job. I could do it in a flash. Its nothing to me. To her its a little bit of a struggle and takes effort.

Tomowrow I pick up the permanent brace. I doubt it'll fit though with the leg still swelled.

Yo Tommy:

I returned to work this week as well. Only making it like 5 or 6 hours before my knee bloats out to watermelon size and I scream home to my little firend the cryo-cuff.

I know what you mean on the "not-being-able-to-help thing"....it's a pissa.

I'm wishing now I had gotten a cryo cuff. I'm fighting with ice packs. They never seem to give you that "total cold" that the cryo does.
